Gone Girl movie review

Before you see Ben Affleck as the new Dark Knight, watch him first in this psychological crime-thriller Gone Girl. If you have seen the trailer, you may have an idea that this is a who-done-it type of story but it is more than that. It has lots of twists that will make you gasp that you won't expect just when you thought you know who the killer is or what happened.

Ben Affleck is known for quality movies ever since he started. He already got an Oscar on his first break in Good Will Hunting and I like what he did with Argo as director. Gone Girl is no exception for Affleck. What I didn't expect that Rosamund Pike is not just a typical Bond girl. I consider her as one of the most current beautiful actress but I never thought that she did her best performance in this movie.

The story is twisted. Both literal and figurative and you may need to be prepare to see some gore too which may be disturbing to see. The movie is not just for the usual audience but for those who need to be mentally stimulated and not just to be entertained. I highly recommend this movie and I believe this is one of the best movies this year has to offer. The other best movie is The Book Thief. Gone Girl opens in Philippine cinemas on October 8 and released by Twentieth Century Fox and distributed by Warner Bros.
