Story: Contraband is an action-drama about an expert smuggler, played by Mark Wahlberg, who wants a normal life but was forced to do one last job when his family was threatened by drug dealers.

Review: The movie is not a Hollywood type of film and it makes the story closer to real life meaning it could happened to someone and the cast were high caliber actors. Mark Wahlberg and Giovanni Ribisi played there roles well. Ribisi played the antagonist really well that you can almost grit your teeth in anger. Despite the violence, there are comical moments that help balanced the tension of the film. Although there are kids in the movie, it is not a family film. The more ideal audience for the movie are those who are old-school action movie fans which usually are the men. Contraband opens January 25 in Philippine cinemas and is released and distributed by United International Pictures through Solar Entertainment Corporation.
