Headlining the month is
Danish Comedy Superclásico. Wine, tango, soccer, and lost love come
together in this Best Film Nominee in the Bodil Awards 2012 and in the Robert
Festival 2012. Christian is a depressed
wine seller facing bankruptcy and a divorce from his wife Anna. After their separation, Anna runs off to
Buenos Aires, where she works as sports agent, and shacks up with one of
Argentina’s top football player, Juan Diaz.
Not being able to bring himself to sign the divorce papers, Christian
takes his 16-year old son Oscar with him to Buenos Aires to win Anna back. Paprika Steen, who plays the role of Anna,
won Best Actress in the Zulu Awards 2012 and Best Supporting actress in the Bodil
Awards 2012. Catch this on CinemaWorld on
Sunday, April 13, at 9:00 PM.
Continue to traverse the globe
with these hits from around the world.
With total ignorance,
Angela, Dario, Carmen, Michele and Nino have no idea that they have the same
father – who is now dead. To get a hold
of their inheritance, they go on a journey that culminates in the scattering of
their father’s ashes over a lake in Arizona. An unknown father, an unknown country, and the
discovery of siblings whose existence they had never suspected make for a
decidedly curious trip that gives them a hint into themselves and into each
other – and perhaps make them into a family. Italian Comedy Us in the U.S. premieres
on CinemaWorld on Sunday, April 6, at 9:00 PM.
How much is one willing
to sacrifice for family? In Growing In The Wind, a top student
in a nomads winter place, Aslan, misses his chance to attend his final exams
because of his problematic father. Now
Aslan has to study while leading the herds as a shepherd and, at the same time,
mentoring the man in love with his sister on the finer points of being a better
man. This movie will air on CinemaWorld
on Sunday, April 20 at 9:00pm.
Fresh from its
theatrical release in Spain on March 28, catch 2 Francos, 40 Pesetas on Sunday,
April 27, at 9:00 PM. Six years have passed since Martin and his
family left Uzwil, Switzerland for Madrid. With fond memories of his hometown, Martin’s
18 year-old son, Pablo, decides to return to Uzwil with a friend. To their surprise, they find Martin’s parents
at Uzwil as well. The unexpected visit,
their reunion with friends and clandestine love affairs sparks an adventure for
their whole family.
