BURBANK, CA – July 10, 2017 – Principal photography has begun on New Line Cinema’s romantic comedy “Isn’t It Romantic?” starring Rebel Wilson (“How to Be Single,” the “Pitch Perfect” films), Liam Hemsworth (the “Hunger Games” films), Adam Devine (“The Intern,” the “Pitch Perfect” films) and Priyanka Chopra (“Quantico,” “Baywatch”), under the direction of Todd Strauss-Schulson (“A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” “The Final Girls”).

New York City architect Natalie works hard to get noticed at her job, but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city’s next skyscraper. And if things weren’t bad enough, Natalie, a lifelong cynic when it comes to love, has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, waking to discover that her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare—a romantic comedy—and she is the leading lady.

Wilson stars as Natalie, alongside Liam Hemsworth as Blake, a handsome client; Adam Devine, as her earnest best friend, Josh; and Priyanka Chopra as yoga ambassador Isabella.

Strauss-Schulson directs from a screenplay by Erin Cardillo, Dana Fox & Katie Silberman, and Paula Pell. Todd Garner (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Tag”), Gina Matthews & Grant Scharbo (“13 Going on 30,” “What Women Want”) are producing, with Marty Ewing (“The Accountant,” “It”) and Jeremy Stein (“Into the Storm”) executive producing. Filming is taking place in and around New York City.

Collaborating with Strauss-Schulson behind the scenes are director of photography Simon Duggan (“The Great Gatsby,” “Hacksaw Ridge”), production designer Sharon Seymour (“Argo,” “The Town”), editor Andrew Marcus (“Begin Again,” “Sing Street”), and costume designer Leah Katznelson (“How to Be Single,” “Sleeping with Other People”).

The film is set for release in the Philippines a day before Valentine’s Day, February 13, 2019, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

REBEL WILSON, THE PARTY ANIMAL IN “HOW TO BE SINGLE”

Fresh from reprising her breakout role as fan-favorite Fat Amy in the smash comedy “Pitch Perfect 2,” Rebel Wilson now stars opposite Dakota Johnson in New Line Cinema's “How to Be Single.”

Based on the book by Liz Tucillo (TV’s “Sex & the City,” “He’s Just Not That Into You”), the film follows a host of singles at various stages of—and with varying opinions on—the single state.

Wilson plays the aggressively spirited Robin, who makes it her mission to not only show her new co-worker Alice (Johnson) the ropes at the office, but after business hours as well. “Robin really loves being single and wants everyone else to love it as much as she does,” Johnson offers. “Alice, on her own for the first time, figures she might as well learn from the master.”

Wilson took a no-holds-barred approach to her character. “Robin is the eternally single girl who knows who she is and what she wants, is super independent and has the best life you could have in the best city in the world. She goes out partying, drinks a lot, has one-night stands, and doesn’t carry any of the baggage that a relationship can bring.”

In fact, when we first see Robin, she’s at the top of her game. “She’s at one of New York’s hottest clubs, dancing up a storm,” Wilson notes. The production brought in Wilson’s close friend Aakomon Jones, who choreographed her in “Pitch Perfect,” to give Robin all the right moves for her entrance. “AJ choreographed a little dance for me and we did it about 50 times that day, just for that one opening shot. It was so much fun,” she adds.

Upon meeting Alice, Robin is determined to show her the way of the single life—her way. “Robin literally teaches her how to be single—how to get drinks for free in a bar, where to hook up with someone at work, when to text back the guy you slept with the night before… All the tricks in her book,” Wilson notes.

On set, Wilson definitely brings the fun. “I’m a huge fan of Rebel’s,” director Christian Ditter declares. “I think everything she does is hysterically funny, and she brought so much to the table, so many ideas and great improv. We always did a few scripted takes, of course, but then I said to her, ‘Okay, surprise me,’ and a lot of what she did is in the film, because she’s so inventive and such a comedy genius. I was afraid we’d have to digitally stabilize all of her takes because the camera operator was laughing so hard!”

“Rebel is magnificent; she’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met,” Johnson raves. “She’s extremely heartfelt, but can then turn around and easily riff on the most ridiculous subjects. It was really amazing working with her.”

The feeling was mutual for Wilson. “I loved working with Dakota. We have such different energies and are such different physical types; we’re almost like a classic comedy duo.”

Because Ditter loved the way the two women played off each other, Wilson recalls, “We added a lot of outrageous physical comedy—nothing was too crazy for him. Christian really enjoys that stuff and trusted us to go with it, so we did. He was incredibly supportive of our ideas and we got up to some great mischief, Dakota and I.”

Producer John Rickard states, “Rebel is really at the forefront of pop culture and redefining what it means to be a comedy star. Whenever she’s on set, you really can’t take your eyes off her—you don’t want to miss what she might do or say next, and that translates to the screen. And Rebel and Dakota together? Lightning in a bottle.”

Wilson will next be seen starring in Sacha Baron Cohen’s “The Brothers Grimsby,” which also stars Penelope Cruz and Mark Strong.

REBEL WILSON JOINS STELLAR CAST IN “NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB”

Talented Australian actress Rebel Wilson, who gained worldwide attention in “Pitch Perfect” joins the stellar cast of “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,” led by Ben Stiller as night security guard, Larry Daley.  In this third, final and most exciting of the family films about the legendary exhibits at New York’s Museum of Natural History, trouble begins when the iconic figures from the past, which come to life each night, are malfunctioning and wreaking havoc. The magic has gone awry. Night security guard Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller, has to take urgent action to save the lives of his historic friends. That means embarking on a trip to the British Museum in London.  

                The action shifts to The British Museum in London where Tilly (Wilson) is the night guard. Wilson’s character Tilly, the British Museum’s security guard falls for the primitively rugged charms of Laaa, a Neanderthal man bearing an uncanny resemblance to Ben Stiller’s Larry Daley.   Robin Williams again plays American President Teddy Roosevelt, in one of his last film roles. Ricky Gervais, Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan return.  Dan Stevens and Sir. Ben Kingsley also star in the funny and thrilling adventure.  

                Like Larry Daley in New York, Tilly in London has a responsible job: she is in charge of guarding the precious treasures at The British Museum. While Larry is head of the ‘Night Program’, which entails spending exciting hours with some of the most important leaders and fascinating figures in history, Tilly finds her job dull. No wonder it sometimes sends her to sleep.  Tilly sits outside the museum, in a small guard shack, chatting on the phone and taking the occasional snooze.  She longs for company and wishes she were armed with a weapon more intimidating than just a hammer.   The night that Larry and Laaa visit the British Museum, Tilly encounters more adventure than she ever dreamed of, as well as a surprising romantic twist.  Australian comedy sensation Rebel Wilson, best known for Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect, joins the Museum ensemble as the irrepressible Tilly.

                Wilson says, “Tilly has been sitting in her booth for three years, and she doesn’t get many customers at her gate.  But on this particular night, she gets a lot of action.  When Tilly sees Larry, she’s like, ‘Oh my God, another security guard!’ and she wants to have a chit chat.  And when she feels deceived by him, Tilly goes on the attack with a hammer.”

                Levy says, “Rebel is one of the funniest actors around.  She saw an opportunity to come in and just murder it and, in a kind of surprise twist, plays a romantic storyline unlike we’ve seen Rebel do, and it’s a weird one.  But it’s no less compelling for its strangeness.”

                “From a comedian's point of view, the comedy is really cool. It’s a family movie so obviously there is all of the kids' toys and fun, but the comedy is really funny for anyone of any age and that's very hard to do. There are so many hilarious moments in the film and then on top of that there are all the amazing special effects and action.  The storyline is great and the film is very moving and funny,” concludes Wilson of the film.
